Photographer Mark Richards made some astonishing images of old computers inside the Computer History Museum in the Silicon Valley, which are available as a book: Core Memory: A Visual Survey of Vintage Computers.
I think the devices could as well be synthesizers and noone would be taking any notice. Funny how close design of vintage computers and design of vintage synthesizers really are.
